Seizures Regimen

Summary: Use a 1:1 cal:mag multimineral like Solaray Cal-Mag Citrate, an EFA supplement such as Enzymatic Therapy Eskimo-3 or Jarrow Omega Balance, a multivitamin, and follow Clark's advice to avoid foods which contain malvin and consume adequate protein and good oils, following the Zone Diet as well as possible.

For seizures, the first thing to do is deparasitize. Since roundworms may exacerbate the problem, it is especially important to also deparasitize pets (put them on Interceptor or HeartgardPlus heartworm medication, which also treat roundworms.)

The next thing I would do is go to the drugstore and get some Pin-X. It is supposedly a pinworm treatment for kids but it works on all roundworms. I would use it once, wait a week, then use it again. BE WARNED that treating for roundworms may temporarily cause increased frequency of seizures. After this, use a good antiparasitic like Eclectic Institute Para-Fight (formally known as Intestinal Support). After using the Pin-X, it should only be necessary to use the Para-Fight once or twice per week (a single capsule), assuming any pets are parasite free. Treating for roundworms is especially important if there is a chronic cough or throat clearing. If capsules cannot be taken, black walnut clove wormwood combination glycerites are available, but must be taken more often, like every other day.

Also, avoid all excitotoxins, especially BHA, BHT (in almost all cereals even if it is not on the label), ergot (in wheat - if wheat must be used, do *not* use whole wheat), MSG (also called "vegetable protein" on food labels), soft drinks (especially ones with aspartame), xylene and toluene (paint chemicals also found in soft drinks and other processed drinks.) Ensure no natural gas is leaking into the house, even in tiny amounts.

For a supplement if no capsules can be taken, consider using Emergen-C (not close to bed since it contains B12). This will help clean some solvents out of the body. If possible, also use cod liver oil that also contains a good bit of EPA, like Carlson's, Health From The Sun, or other molecularly distilled brand. Some of the liquids come in flavors and do not taste too bad.

If using food avoidance and deparasitizing does not provide relief from the problem, ensure that there are adequate vitamins, minerals, and especially essential fatty acids to help ensure optimal brain and nerve function by following a General Maintanence Regimen.

According to Hulda Clark, shigella, the common bacteria found in the bowel, can be a cause of seizures. To combat this, good hygiene is used, especially in the bathroom.

Suggestions from Hulda Clark:

To stop your seizures on a dime, and not have another one:

1. Avoid malvin in food. Eat nothing colored red or blue, chicken, eggs, MSG, BHA & BHT. Boil or bake all dairy products or don't eat them.

2. Avoid ergot in food. Eat no whole grain products; take niacinamide 500 mg three times a day to help the liver detoxify tiny bits in other foods.

3. Kill Ascaris, Bacteroides and Coxsackie virus and stay on a maintenance program of killing them. Avoid reinfection. Keep pets deparasitized.

4. Replace dental metal with metal-free plastic (See Dental Clean-up).

5. Clean up the home environment and body products of toxic substances.

6. Keep your fingers sanitary: spray them with 10% grain alcohol or vodka after bathroom use.

I read with interest an article that you published on the dangers of aspartame.

I have not only been studying the effects of MSG and aspartame on epilepsy, pain, insomnia, ADHD, and neurodegenerative disorders (MS, ALS, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's Huntington's, etc) but also examining the role that the foods that are rich in these two non-essential, neurostimulating amino acids play in these same disorders. I have PROVEN that the foods rich in these "bound" excitotoxins" ...gluten grains (wheat, barley, rye), cow milk (casein), soy (errrrrrrh!!!!), peanuts, legumes, and more can do the exact same thing. The difference is that the bound foods take longer to cause the response.

As you well know, MSG and aspartame (the "free" forms) take a short time to reach the brain and elicit a response (30minutes to an hour). The "bound" forms in food take 4-6 hours, as PROVEN by the typical food-to-seizure interval in non-medicated dogs being 4-6 hours after eating. In humans, this is very commonly manifested as "insomnia"...the victim being awakened like a shot at 1-2 AM, 4-6 hours after dinner and DESSERT (the latter being loaded with bound "excitotoxins"). I have chronicled this discover on my Website in this section( http://dogtorj.tripod.com/id2.html ).

Then, all we have to see is the potentially devastating effect these same foods (gluten, casein, soy, and corn) can have on the intestinal villi, as they do in the case of celiac disease. Then we can see the spiral develop that leads to severe conditions such as epilepsy and the others. Once the duodenum is malabsorbing calcium, iron, iodine, B complex, C, and the trace minerals it normally absorbs, it is very easy to see why the various tissues (including the brain and liver) and immune system start to fail, which makes them even more susceptible to the detrimental effects of the excitotoxins. Why DOES fibromyalgia take years to develop when our kids are sucking down all of the aspartame??? This is VERY explainable.

I hope that my work will be of help to your cause. The G.A.R.D. (http://dogtorj.tripod.com/id16.html) I have developed has stopped seizures in countless dogs and is helping numerous people with epilepsy ( http://dogtorj.tripod.com/id2.html ), fibromyalgia, insomnia, ADHD, and even ALS and MS. My Website goes into great detail.

Below is a sample article that I wrote to share with epilepsy sufferers. Most of my papers are more conversational, in an attempt to explain WHY these recommendations are so important.
I hope this helps,
John

Rife Frequencies, Annotations, and Comments

CAFL

Epilepsy (also try Shigella) - 10000, 880, 802, 787, 727, 700, 650, 600, 210, 633, 125, 20
Seizure_1 - 329, 226, 953
Shigella (can cause acute dysentery and diarrhea as well as infect nerves, brain, and spinal cord chronically) - 621, 762, 769, 770, 1550, 802, 832

------------

The following suggestions were taken from correspondence on the Rife list on additional measures to take to combat seizure disorder in a 9 year old who was not helped by conventional medicine.

-----

Combine the epilepsy and shigella frequencies to make the base frequency set for use on a rife device.

For nutrients, first magnesium. A good way to use this would be to get a 1:1 ratio calcium magnesium like Solaray Cal-Mag Citrate (not the 2:1 version of this product, called Cal-Mag Citrate with Vitamin D), and for a 9 year old, use 2 at night. Then a molecularly distilled fish oil - Enzymatic Therapy Eskimo-3 comes in small gelcaps, or spectrum omega supplement with a good balance of EFA to GLA such as Jarrow Omega Balance. Use three twice per day for a week or two then one or two twice per day should be sufficient. For diet, see Cure for all Diseases, and follow Clark's advice to *avoid* foods containing malvin, which is found in chicken, eggs, and blue foods including blueberries.

Use perfect hygeine in the restroom. If there are any allergies or there is a constant stuffy nose, look into the Clenzology Hygiene Kit.

What appears to happen is that damage to the head or spine allows, eventually, for bacteria to infect it. This bacteria can come from the bowels or the teeth, and in a 9 year old they are most likely from the intestines. Shigella is the most common one to cause mental problems, acute or chronic. To further combat this, use Garden of Life Primal Defense, a probiotic. Look around to find a good deal on this since it is expensive.

I was researching additional nutrients for epilepsy a couple years ago and had the following list which I never followed up on. I would try the above suggestions first and look at the herbs below if these was not a significant improvement within two months The Twice Daily provides the last four plus siberian ginseng. The herbs are listed in order of most effective first.

Epilepsy

Magnesium - for any type of nerve, brain, or other neural disorder, the very first thing to do is ensure adequate magnesium.

Blue vervain, siberian ginseng, chamomile, burdock, black cohosh.

Other vitamins and minerals that may be important:

Manganese
B1
B 6
Choline

Grandson on the Ketogenic diet, seizure free by Hallie
He went seizure free in the hospital the day after he started the diet. It was a miracle for us. He can talk again and is doing very well. Our Neuro had mentioned either the keto diet or surgery to try. Thank God the diet did the trick so he didn't have to have any surgery. He has been on the diet 2 years in May.
